Forumscheck for East German
Goods from Western countries were available on special shops (called Intershop) for East
German citizen or for travelers from the West. While citizen from the West were allowed to
pay with their currency East German had to exchange the 'hard currency' to Forumschecks
(1 DM = 1 (Forum) Mark)
